Project Manager (Health)

This is a very exciting new post in our organisation which will lead the Health & Wellbeing Visits project funded by the Department of Health (DH). The project is managed by 3VA and delivered on behalf of our award winning partnership with East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS). We were one of a very few local organisations to be awarded a 3 year grant by DH through the Innovation, Excellence & Strategic Development Fund (IESD). 

The post also has a key strategic role in assisting the two organisations to develop health related activities and a strong model for funding early intervention activities. 
This role operates across East Sussex and Brighton and Hove. 3VA’s main office is 8 Saffrons Road, Eastbourne, BN21 1DG, where this post will be based. The post holder will be required to work with colleagues at ESFRS and on occasions work from their HQ at Upperton Road in Eastbourne, as well as travelling across the county as needed.

To be eligible for this opportunity you will have to display the following competencies:

  • Implementing new projects, setting up systems and on-going project management 
  • Building relationships with commissioners and achieving financial support
  • Working in partnership and establishing operational arrangements for joint working
  • Monitoring impact, planning systems of evaluation and data collection

Volunteers Coordinator

We are recruiting for another post to join the ESFRS Community Volunteer Scheme. The Volunteers Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day management of all the Community Volunteers involved in the Scheme (up to 120 people). The volunteer roles currently include supporting ESFRS staff in a range of community safety and road safety activities, carrying out Health & Wellbeing visits and working with Sussex Police in our partnership pilot supporting people who may be a victim of burglary. This post will be jointly managed by the ESFRS Scheme Manager and the new Project Manager (Health) and work closely with other staff members who will be supporting the Scheme with volunteer recruitment and development. It’s an exciting and challenging role. The Volunteers Coordinator will be dealing with a high volume of work, changing priorities and will be managing a large and diverse group of volunteers and their activities.
