Volunteer Co-ordinator – East Sussex Association of Blind and Partially Sighted People (ESAB)

Funding from a legacy has enabled East Sussex Association of Blind and Partially Sighted People to create a new, full-time Volunteer Co-ordinator role that will involve managing and empowering existing volunteers, recruiting new volunteers and setting up and managing a volunteer visiting service across the county. The Volunteer Co-ordinator will be responsible for actively marketing volunteer opportunities in line with the expansion plans set out in ESAB’s new five year strategy. Project Consultant (x9) - Brighton Housing Trust (BHT)

BHT is offering an exciting development opportunity for individuals who have personal experience of complex needs and of using support services. The post will involve working with service users and the staff team to review and improve services for people with multiple and complex needs. Project Manager (Health) - 3VA

This is a very exciting new post in our organisation which will lead the Health & Wellbeing Visits project funded by the Department of Health (DH). The project is managed by 3VA and delivered on behalf of our award winning partnership with East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS). We were one of a very few local organisations to be awarded a 3 year grant by DH through the Innovation, Excellence & Strategic Development Fund (IESD). The post also has a key strategic role in assisting the two organisations to develop health related activities and a strong model for funding early intervention activities. This role operates across East Sussex and Brighton and Hove. 3VA’s main office is 8 Saffrons Road, Eastbourne, BN21 1DG, where this post will be based. The post holder will be required to work with colleagues at ESFRS and on occasions work from their HQ at Upperton Road in Eastbourne, as well as travelling across the county as needed. Training and Volunteer Coordinator  Brighton Housing Trust (BHT)

BHT is seeking to appoint a qualified applicant to this new Big Lottery Funded post. Volunteers Coordinator - 3VA

We are recruiting for another post to join the ESFRS Community Volunteer Scheme. The Volunteers Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day management of all the Community Volunteers involved in the Scheme (up to 120 people). The volunteer roles currently include supporting ESFRS staff in a range of community safety and road safety activities, carrying out Health & Wellbeing visits and working with Sussex Police in our partnership pilot supporting people who may be a victim of burglary. This post will be jointly managed by the ESFRS Scheme Manager and the new Project Manager (Health) and work closely with other staff members who will be supporting the Scheme with volunteer recruitment and development. It’s an exciting and challenging role. The Volunteers Coordinator will be dealing with a high volume of work, changing priorities and will be managing a large and diverse group of volunteers and their activities. For a small fee, we will feature the job opportunity on our website and include it in the e-Newsletter, which is sent to over 1,700 contacts each week.

Member: £25 per vacancy

Non-member: £50 per vacancy

 

We also offer the opportunity to promote training in the e-Newsletter. Organisations wishing to place an advert in the e-Newsletter can also do so for a potential fee as follows:

• Member groups and non-member groups who offer free (or highly subsidised) training that is relevant to our membership can submit items for inclusion at no charge.
• Member groups who offer training for a fee will incur a £25 fee per item for inclusion.
• Non-member groups who offer training for a fee will incur a £50 fee per item for inclusion.
