THE BIG EVENT 2012 - The key annual Voluntary sector conference and Advice Fair for groups and organisations across East Sussex.

DATE:  Tuesday March 13th

VENUE:  Winter Gardens, Eastbourne
TIME:   9:40am – 2:30pm

This year our theme will be ‘Bridging the Gap between Policy Reforms and Practice’ and we’ll be debating questions such as:

  • What do the key recent changes in national policy mean?
  • How will they affect the VCS locally in East Sussex?
  • Where are the opportunities and challenges for VCS?
  • What can we do effectively?
  • Localism: What does it mean and how does it relate to current reforms?
     

The conference speakers and round table workshops will focus on two key areas:

 

  • Health & Social Care
  • Welfare & Legal Aid

 

This will be accompanied by an Advice Fair offering hands on support to local groups and information about free and low-cost services available.

 

The event is free and is open to all staff and volunteers in the voluntary sector and public sector partners.
Last year over 200 delegates representing both local organisations and the public sector attended the event, attracting overwhelmingly positive feedback.
