Development Workers' Network Lunch: Data Protection and Volunteers

Start date:
14-03-2012 12:30
End date:
14-03-2012 14:00
Location:
3VA's Eastbourne Office, Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN21 1DG

This networking lunch will address what to do with and how long to keep information from volunteer applicants and volunteers with your organisation. What you can put on the database and the type of questions you can ask on an application form, and more importantly the questions you can’t ask.
Ed Coxall from Mayo Wynne Baxter will offer the benefit of his knowledge on the legal aspects of this topic.
3VA is aware community workers have busy schedules, so this is the first of only two networking lunch meetings planned for this year (unless another specific request is made).  The next one will be 11 September, so please do try to come along to this one and support us if you would like them to continue.
You are also welcome to suggest topics for the next meeting if you have a burning issue you would like addressed.
Lunch is provided at a cost of £3.50 per head, but you are most welcome to bring you own.
Please email amanda.steer@3va.org.uk if you would like to attend.
