First Aid at Work Refresher

This course is suitable for anyone who holds a valid 3 year First Aid at Work, or Emergency First Aid at Work certificate and who hasn’t completed a refresher course in the past 12 months.  It covers key life saving procedures and is sufficient to be considered to be an annual up-date course by the HSE. At the end of the short workshop, delegates will be able to:

  • Prioritise injuries and administer appropriate first aid accordingly; Perform effective basic life support (CPR) in accordance with Resus Council guidelines (2010);
  • Provide effective first aid to an unconscious casualty; and
  • Recognise the signs and symptoms of the most important first aid emergencies (including heart attacks, stroke, severe bleeding, shock and choking)

The content of the course is equivalent to those provided by well known national first aid organisations. McCrudden Training currently provides accredited First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work training in partnership with NHS Hastings and Rother.
