NAVCA, the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action, is the national umbrella body for Councils for Voluntary Services, such as 3VA. Their Quality Award is available to all members and is described as "a rigorous, externally audited, evaluation of the quality of services offered to voluntary and community groups by local support and development organisations."

Community groups can now apply to use of the grounds of the old St Anne’s School in Rotten Row, Lewes after East Sussex County Council leased the site to 3VA. A Steering Group made up of local community representatives will oversee use of the grounds for events and community activities. So whether it’s an open air exercise session, a landscape painting class, an outdoor play or nature trail – this site could provide the perfect space.

New Course Announced: Lone Working Training. This course is suitable for staff/volunteers who work alone as part of their duties. This includes those who work out in the community or who visit people’s homes as well as those who may work in an office or community building where at times they may be on their own.
