AN INTRODUCTION TO CHILD PROTECTION

This course is aimed to be an introductory course on Child Protection, open to anyone working with children or young people in the voluntary and community sector.

Course Aims/Objectives:

  • To raise awareness of child protection issues, procedures and signs and indicators of child abuse.
  • To enable staff to identify and respond to child protection concerns and to become aware of ESCC Child Protection Procedures to encourage and develop effective inter-agency communication where child protection matters arise.

A maximum of 2 representatives from each organisation will have a confirmed place and further applications will be put on a waiting list.

Target Audience:

Staff and volunteers in voluntary and community groups who work with children or young people.

Costs:

This course is being run in partnership by the LSCB, which will deliver the course free of charge, however there is an admin charge of £10. Please note that the fee is non-refundable.
