East Sussex Volunteer Coordinators' Networking Forum and Workshop
Volunteer Coordinator Networking Forums are informal, locally-run events open to anyone who is involved in engaging and supporting volunteers anywhere in East Sussex. These events offer participants the opportunity to learn and talk about specific volunteering topics as well as the chance to network with colleagues from other local groups.
This Forum's Theme: Creating and Transforming Volunteer Opportunities
This Forum will include topical discussion, local and national volunteering news and an opportunity for networking. It will also consider the changing landscape of voluntary and community sector organisations and how we might think creatively about transforming ways of engaging volunteers.
This Volunteer Coordinator’s Networking Forum will be followed directly by a practical workshop in creating and transforming volunteer opportunities, offering participants the opportunity to:
- Consider the needs of volunteers and their organisations’ and begin to plan to meet these.
- Explore creative ways of involving volunteers and designing opportunities.
- Begin to re/design a new volunteer role, outlining skills and tasks.
This workshop is suitable for anyone, either in paid or unpaid capacity, who is responsible for engaging and involving volunteers.
NB Participants may stay for one or both the Forum and the workshop. Please register accordingly.
