Health Advocacy Service Manager – Brighton & Hove Impetus

Brighton & Hove Impetus is seeking a Health Advocacy Service Manager who will lead two services specifically intended to support people with issues arising from medical treatment. ICAS (Independent Complaints Advocacy Service) is a national service that supports people who wish to make a complaint about their NHS care or treatment. The ICAS service works in partnership with a range of local services and is part of Healthwatch, Brighton & Hove. Macmillan Impetus Cancer Advocacy provides advice and advocacy support for adults with learning difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions, mental health issues and older people. Its aim is to empower adults in these groups to have more control over the decisions that affect their treatment when facing a diagnosis of cancer. Community Development & Learning Project Assistant – Sussex Community Development Association (SCDA)

• Member groups and non-member groups who offer free (or highly subsidised) training that is relevant to our membership can submit items for inclusion at no charge.
• Member groups who offer training for a fee will incur a £25 fee per item for inclusion.
• Non-member groups who offer training for a fee will incur a £50 fee per item for inclusion.
