You are invited to an evening of live music and good conversation on the eve of World Toilet Day in support of ToiletTwinning.org Saturday 18th November 7.30pm Community Wise, Ocklynge Road, BN21 1PY All welcome! Fed up with all the bad news? Come and spend a penny (or few) to hear some good news. This won't be a bog standard Saturday night - it will be memorable. Please come and join us. Change the world, one toilet at a time Live music from Eastbourne band 'The Pilgrim Mothers'. Led by singer and storyteller Cole Moreton, The Pilgrim Mothers are crowd-pleasers offering vintage, soulful sounds with an eclectic mix of original songs and covers by the likes of Tom Waits and Billy Bragg as well as trad, folk, gospel and wartime tunes. Celebrating the past, singing for a better now. “As if the English invented Americana …” Quiz, with prizes! Short presentation by Lorraine Kingsley, head of ToiletTwinning.org Lorraine has travelled widely in various roles to countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America, and will inspire you with good news stories from some of these places. Nibbles, tea, coffee and soft drinks provided. Feel free to bring your own bottle (glasses provided). Suggested entry donation £2 with all proceeds going to ToiletTwinning.org There will be opportunities to twin your toilet on the evening, or contribute to twinning a publicly accessible toilet in Eastbourne.
