Seaford Town Council is thrilled to announce that in addition to the monthly beach cleans hosted by Surfer’s Against Sewage, a new initiative is gathering momentum to help keep Seaford tidy; local Facebook group Plastic Free Seaford & Newhaven’s Great British Spring Clean. There are two planned get-togethers in the coming weeks, both taking part over the Keep Britain Tidy weekend. Volunteers are being called upon to help with the cleans which are tackling both the iconic Seaford bay and well-used beauty and picnicking spots around the town, initially being Grand Avenue. Litter pickers are being provided for both cleans by Seaford Town Council but volunteers are asked to bring a strong bag or bucket to collect litter in and wear suitable clothing (hi-vis or bright clothes ideally) and gloves. Volunteers from both cleans can enjoy a 20% voucher for use at local restaurant and bar, The View, at Seaford Head Golf Course.
