Working on a one to one casework basis you will offer support and practical information regarding assistance available to Persistently Targeted, Vulnerable & Insecure (PTVI) clients who are at significant risk of harm from cuckooing, Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), targeted harassment or hate incidents. As part of your role you will also be working one day per week supporting the community navigation process for the rural Domestic Assault/Sexual Assault project. You will work almost exclusively in an outreach capacity, sometimes in people’s homes and must have sensitivity, empathy and resilience, demonstrating an appropriate approach to working with vulnerable people or in difficult environments. The role also has responsibility for reporting to partners and funders. Experience of one to one case work is vital, as is an understanding of ASB, domestic abuse and sexual violence, and the ways in which this can affect individuals. You will be used to multi-agency working, including referral processes and safeguarding procedures. An ability to work flexibly is required and computer literacy is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sensitivity to the aims of this project and the organisation as a whole. Based in Hailsham or Newhaven with regular travel to outreach and other delivery locations across East Sussex.
