Charity Mentors East Sussex, which provides short-term pro-bono mentoring to charities and not-for-profit businesses across East Sussex, is hosting a free to attend evening event for leaders of charities, community groups or not-for-profit businesses across East Sussex. It will take place on Thursday, 28 March from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Boship Lions Farm Hotel, Lower Dicker BN27 4AT.
Leaders of charities and other not-for-profit organisations are invited to attend this leadership development event, which will provide an overview of the charity mentor service and an opportunity to meet both mentors and some current mentees, together with real life examples of the value added by mentoring.
Attendees will enjoy half an hour of open networking over a light buffet and drinks before the formal introductions and presentations, concluding with a practical demonstration of the mentoring service. Peter Field, Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex, will also be on hand to speak, as will the evening's generous sponsors including Reid Briggs, Insurance Brokers and Rix & Kay, Solicitors.
Charity Mentors is run by The Lieutenancy of East Sussex and supported by 3VA and Rother Voluntary Action and has been running across the county for two years and within the last nine months has become more established with 15 volunteer mentors available to mentor individuals within organisations on a Pro Bono basis. Each one of our carefully selected mentors has vast experience in the work place and often will have held senior roles within their chosen field.
